Kim became a series regular in season 4 and will continue his role as Chimney’s brother Albert Han, the newest firefighter on the crew. Also returning are Corinne Massiah as May Grant, Marcanthonee Jon Reis as Harry Grant, and Gavin McHugh as Christopher Diaz.

What we do know so far is the first three episodes back will find the 118 dealing with a citywide blackout that will encompass the first three episodes of the season. TVLine has a photo of the key art from it, which shows a pack of escaped zoo animals running wild down Hollywood Blvd. Also, when 9-1-1 returns, Maddie will still be dealing with her postpartum depression. Showrunner Tim Minear told TVLine, “It’s a story that I don’t want to give short shrift to. It will end up creating a major complication for season 5.” We also may see more of Chimney’s brother Albert Han now that he has become a firefighter – and survived death in a car crash.
What happened at the end of 9-1-1 season 4?
The season 4 finale was jammed packed: Eddie survived the gunshot wound to his chest. Eddie asked Buck to be Christopher’s guardian in case something should happen to him. Athena apprehended the sniper. Athena and Bobby are struggling in their marriage but agreed to work to save it. Maddie quit her job at the 9-1-1 center and finally asked Chimney for help with her postpartum depression. Buck and Taylor became an official relationship. Albert is now officially a firefighter. Hen and Karen ran into Nia at the park and met Nia’s birth mother.
