On the surface, Alicia (Alvina August) and Arnold’s (Jarod Joseph) marriage is picture perfect, however, there is something amiss. Arnold is ready to grow their family, but subconsciously Alicia is hesitant. Rather than face the problem head on, Alicia, the self-proclaimed “love doctor,” immerses herself in her divorced parents Jack (La Salle) and Brenda’s (Reuben) dating affairs by setting up accounts for each of them on a blind date dating app.

Gloria Reuben (Brenda)
For six seasons, Gloria Reuben portrayed physician assistant Jeanie Boulet on ER—a role for which she was nominated several times for a Primetime Emmy. Like La Salle, Reuben is a multi-hyphenate—not only is she an actor, but also an accomplished singer and writer. The Toronto native starred on Mr. Robot opposite Academy-Award winner Rami Malek. Eriq La Salle (Jack)
Though Eriq La Salle is best known for his eight seasons as Dr. Peter Benton on ER, he now spends his time mostly behind the camera following up his career as an actor as a director and producer. He produced several seasons of Chicago P.D. as well as directing many episodes. He has also directed episodes of The Librarians, Chicago Med, Lucifer and Madam Secretary. In his spare time, La Salle is also a writer and has authored several books! This isn’t La Salle’s first Hallmark Channel movie nor is it one where he stars opposite ER alum. He previously appeared in Relative Stranger with Ciecly Tyson and ER actors Michael Michele and Michael Beach. Fun fact: Remember ABC’s after-school specials?
