During an exhibition game featuring Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio and Mattea Roach this past Tuesday, Nov. 8, Jennings lowered the stakes on the basically already stake-free game when he inadvertently gave away the answer to a clue that had not yet been read.  As he detailed the category “Numbers Please,” illustrating how the answers that had been revealed so far related to the former champions’ Jeopardy! history, he got a little too into the joyful breakdown.  “I don’t know if you noticed, but the numbers in that category are 40, 23, 38, and 74, which is larger than all of them," he rattled off, but a voice from out of the shot yelled out, “You gave it away,” leading Jennings to realize his mistake. “Oh, shit!” he swore, leading audience members and the contestants to laugh. According to TV Insider, the $200 clue’s answer, which was “40,” referred to the number of times Schneider won in her first stint on the game show, but nobody had attempted that one, yet.  One Twitter user said the moment would “live rent free in [her] mind forever.”  “all the reactions are priceless… someone behind the camera saying ’nope’ … the look of realization in Ken’s eyes and the ‘OH SH*T’ .. the taps on buzzer with Matt … Amy’s sly ‘I’ll take numbers for 200’ … jeopardy perfection,” another wrote. The episode also coincided with the two-year anniversary of Alex Trebek’s death, featuring a category called “Remembering Alex Trebek” that full of trivia bits about the former host. More News:
