This will be the first episode without Chris Noth, who was fired from his role as Robyn’s confidant and spy game cohort, William Bishop, after sexual assault allegations from two women came to light in mid-December. Noth calls the allegations “categorically false.” Recent episodes seem like they could be ripped from the headlines but they only use historical events—like the Tulsa Race Massacre and bitter feuds between rival rappers—as a springboard for a good story. The last episode before the break, “Bout That Life,” found McCall ensnared in a deadly battle between rival rap crews when she is hired by the wife of a famous rapper (Rick Ross) to prove the musician is innocent of murdering a fellow artist. In the sneak peek below, we learn a little more about Smith’s character, Jessie Cook who’s also known as “The Worm.” Robyn calls her a “savant level thief” who’s gifted, brilliant and the best at what she does." The “Legacy” episode of The Equalizer premieres Sunday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and can be streamed live or on demand on Paramount+. Next, The Equalizer‘s Lorraine Toussaint on Keeping Secrets, Law & Order and Black Lives Matter
