This week, Variety reported that a slew of the show’s leading men will be headed back to New York City for more, more, more alongside leading ladies Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis! (As previously reported, KimCattrall opted not to return for one more go-round as brash and sassy Samantha Jones.) “Everyone at And Just Like That… is thrilled to be able to continue the storylines of these beloved Sex and the City characters with the actors who made them so lovable,” AJLT executive producer Michael Patrick King told the outlet. We already know that Chris Noth is joining Parker, Davis and Nixon by returning as Mr. Big, Carrie’s husband, but what about the rest of the guys? Will Steve be in the new Sex and the City?

Yes! DavidEigenberg is indeed set to reprise his role as Miranda’s aw-shucks hubby Steve Brady.  Back in March, Eigenberg himself told Parade.com that he wasn’t sure whether he’d be asked to return—and that his starring role on Chicago Fire, which shoots in the Windy City, could make scheduling challenging. “Obviously, my heart and soul lie here at Chicago Fire, but we’re seeing what happens,” he told us during a Chicago Fire junket. “We’ve had some discussions and it looks like our hiatus could line up with their start, but they have to fully understand that this show comes first.” He continued, “So I would say that there’s a good possibility I may reunite with my wonderful colleagues there in New York City on Sex and the City.”

Will Harry Goldenblatt be in the new Sex and the City?

Another yes! EvanHandler, who plays Charlotte York-Goldenblatt’s other half, is also slated to return.  Since the last SATC movie, Handler’s kept busy a recurring role on the Starz drama Power and by playing legendary director Hal Prince in FX’s Fosse/Verdon miniseries. On Wednesday, June 9, the actor humorously basked in the breaking news on Twitter while trying to find a shady spot to cool off amid New York City’s sweltering heat wave.

Is Willie Garson coming back for the new Sex and the City?

Yep! (Are you sensing a pattern here?) WillieGarson will return as Carrie’s male BFF, Stanford Blatch.  Like Handler, Garson was happy to celebrate the news on social media after it was announced.

Is Mario Cantone going to be in the new Sex and the City?

Four for four! Yes, MarioCantone will once again bring the hilarity as Anthony Marentino, Charlotte’s pal-turned Carrie’s wedding planner-turned Stanford’s husband!  Back in 2017, when a third SATC movie got axed due to Cattrall’s reluctance to return, Cantone was one of the franchise’s most outspoken cast members, letting it be known that he was none too happy about not getting to play Anthony again. “We’re all very upset about it,” he told WendyWilliams at the time. “I’m very pissed off about it.”

Will Aidan be in Sex and the City’s And Just Like That?

So that just leaves JohnCorbett and the question of whether he may pop up again as Carrie’s other major love interest, Aidan Shaw. While Variety’s report makes no mention of Corbett one way or the other, back in April, the actor told Page Six, “I’m going to do the show,” adding that he believes he’ll appear in “quite a few” episodes.

Who else is going to be in the Sex and the City reboot?

In May, it was reported that former Grey’s Anatomy star SaraRamirez will also be joining And Just Like That… as a new cast member. According to Deadline, she’ll portray “new character Che Diaz (they/them), a non-binary, queer stand-up comedian who hosts a podcast on which Carrie Bradshaw is regularly featured. Che is a big presence with a big heart whose outrageous sense of humor and progressive, human overview of gender roles has made them and their podcast very popular.”

What will the Sex and the City reboot be about?

According to HBO Max, And Just Like That… will show Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they “navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

How to watch And Just Like That…
